We wanted to share with you our perspective on the events that occurred in Boston Massachusetts on 4/15/13. We understand that for many of you your hearts are heavy and that some of you are angry, confused, and scared. While we are not condoning these actions, we’d like to remind you that everyone incarnates for a reason. Each and every one of you is a teacher and a healer. The people who were injured or died have come here to help us learn compassion and teamwork. They’ve come here to help us learn to love and become one as a community. The people who set off the bombs have come here to teach us the same…they’ve also come here to learn to love in a healthy way. Some of them will be successful in this lifetime and some will not.
Be angry. Be sad. Be scared. Feel whatever emotions are moving through you and allow them. What we ask of you, however, is not to Be hatred. Not to Be vengeful. The culprits must be dealt with, yes…but hatred and vengeance will not solve the world’s problems. Instead, it adds fuel to the hatred and vengeance that already exists. Do the best you can to Be Love, Be Peace, and Be Compassion while dealing the physical practicalities required during crises like this one.
We understand that this is one of those situations you label as difficult. Remember, we are here for you. We love you….always in all ways.
