Allergies, Signs And Increasing Self Confidence

This is Osiris…the newest member of our little family. He’s a pretty special guy and I wanted to share how he came to us and how we were able to keep him.

First, you need some background. I live with a man who is my soulmate in every way. The story of how we met and came together will be the subject of another blog. What you need to know for now, is that in January 2008 I worked with him via thetahealing to clear his cat allergies. They were so bad that they caused severe asthmatic reactions and he couldn’t be in a house with cats without getting sick. By the time we completed the work, he was able to be around cats and didn’t even have to take medication. What we discovered was that the allergies were related to a childhood trauma he experienced when he had a cat of his own.

Okay, let’s get back to the present. I’d been wanting a cat for some time now, but the right one never seemed to appear. Add to that, there was always a slight worry that maybe the thetahealing wouldn’t hold up. I mean, thetahealing deals with clearing subconscious negative belief systems, but we can recreate this stuff if we try hard enough. I had no reason to believe this was the case, but still, you never know….

Isis and black panther have been showing up over and over for me lately. They are reminders of magic, inner power, and reclaiming our power– among other things. I’ve been paying attention the situations surrounding them and doing my best at honoring their messages. This caused me to do more work on my own self-confidence. Even though I know the work that I do actually works….I’ve seen it with my kids and friends, I’ve seen it with myself, and I’ve seen it with my clients, I still have moments where my self-confidence lags.

This past Saturday, I took some time to work on and release blocks to having self-confidence. Self-confidence disguises itself in many ways. We don’t trust our intuition, we ignore signs, we don’t believe at first that Isis could actually be connecting with us……Later in the afternoon, I had a strong urge to look at animal shelters again. I checked out one of the shelters where I had previously gotten dogs and I saw a couple of cats that “might” be it, but it was 3pm and the shelter was closed. On a whim, I searched another town that’s close-by and saw they too had a shelter. They have some beautiful animals and there was a cat named O’brien who caught my interest. Me, being the person I am-I still look for validation. The shelter had a beautiful black cat named Panther…I thought he was the one…simply because of his name. Silly me….we arrived at the shelter 30 minutes before closing and checked out the cats. Now, keep in mind, I was also keeping an eye on my partner….wondering still if the thetahealing held up. He was doing great and purposely taking deep breaths and touching the animals.

When we got to O’brien’s cage, I had a pretty strong feeling he was the one. The volunteer took him out and while she was petting and calming him, he reached his paws out to me. When I took him, he nuzzled my face, kissed my cheek and settled in. This reminded me that sometimes signs show up to make us pay attention. I never did meet Panther, but he was what made me take notice and take this shelter seriously. If all that wasn’t enough, the shelter was running a special. The fee to adopt a cat was $17.76 in lieu of $75.00.

However, the Universe knows I can be stubborn, so just to be sure it added a few more signs. The shelter named the cat O’brien because they found him on St Patrick’s Day, which is my parent’s anniversary. It also made sure that the cat who came to me would come as easily as possible. His previous owners had him declawed which is great since I have a parakeet and that makes it a little safer for the bird. He’s also neutered and up to date on his shots for the next year. Plus, switching his name from O’brien to Osiris was easy. He even comes when we call him by name.

My long winded point here is that energy healing works, paying attention to and acting on signs is important, and everyone goes through bouts where they’re self-confidence wanes. We are souls having a human experience and this is all part of it. Remember everyone, there is a difference between being humble and not having confidence in yourself. Humbleness helps everyone, while lack of confidence helps no one.
