How we give away our personal power…without even knowing it!

You know those responses you make and the things you do without needing to think about them? They can totally be real-time, brain, and energy savers.

I mean it’s a hella lot less stressful to be able to drive a car without having to think about how hard you need to step on the gas to make the car go like you did when you first learned how to drive.

But what about the other things? Like when you’re trying to watch what you eat and you unconsciously pick the gummy bears from your kid’s cupcake while talking to your friend on the phone (please tell me I’m not the only one)…you don’t even realize you’re doing it but it shows up when the numbers on your scale won’t budge.

Those are times when your automatic responses take you away from your goals and steal your personal power and sovereignty. You’ve unintentionally transferred that power and sovereignty to the people and experiences that formed the foundation of those actions.

The ones that say you’ll never lose weight or you’re not good enough, pretty enough, enough-enough just as you are.

Knowing when it’s best to let automatic responses take over (driving) and when it’s not (unconscious eating) is one of the most empowering things you can learn. It takes you from living a life of response (feeling like you have now choices) to one of freedom (knowing you always have a choice in how you respond to things).

Whether it’s eating a gummy bear or grabbing Today’s Special Value on QVC, you do not have to be at the mercy of your automatic responses. It IS possible to disarm that programming that you don’t even know you take part in.

Transform the energy of your automatic responses into conscious choices so you can make the choice to take the road less traveled, follow the straight and narrow, or pave your own way. How much fun does THAT sound??

Because when you release those mechanisms from your energy space, you create a space where YOU become your own navigator. YOU are able to decide if you want the pizza or the money that you would have spent on it.

You can do this yourself by reminding yourself to be aware of one habit at a time. This trains your brain to be aware…and the more often you are aware of the habit, the quicker you can catch yourself and make a different choice. It takes time and repetition but you can do it. I know you can.
