When evaluating your relationships (friends, lovers, partners, family members), be realistic in your views. Is this person someone you love and accept just the way he/she is? Or is the situation more like “once he learns how to communicated properly, things will be better” or “if she could just see things from my point of view, we’d be so much happier”? If the relationship more closely resembles the second set of situations, then it’s important for you to be aware that you are not fully accepting that person as he/she is.
