The Clearing You Didn’t KnowYou Needed

This  3:42 clearing covers everything you need to get things running smoothly so you can get back to what you do best.

4 Traits to Look for in a Healer (and perfectionism isn't one of them)

There’s this funny thing out there–a judgment, maybe, where people are told that a healer, coach, therapist or other similar professional’s life should be perfect. They shouldn’t have any problems and they should always have “it” together.

And I have to say, that’s the biggest crock of shit ever.

No one and I mean not one single person is perfect. Their lives aren’t perfect and they certainly do not have everything together all of the time…no matter what it looks like on the outside.

Some people are better at dealing with life on a day to day basis. Some people do have less chaos going on in their lives in general.

But everyone has problems. Everyone is affected by their problems. The degree to which they are affected varies and the how good they are at handling them varies.

You’re setting yourself up for a very difficult life and you’re setting yourself up for a friggin disappointment if you don’t believe that.

Especially when you find out that your therapist whom you love and trust–the one who has gotten you through your darkest hours suffers from severe anxiety and low self-esteem.

Or when you see your vegan yoga teacher give into her overwhelming emotions and stress and eat a hamburger.

The sooner you recognize that everyone has their own problems and struggles no how successful they are or how great their lives look, the sooner you will be 98able to enjoy the great things you have in your life. And the sooner you will begin to accept yourself and your seeming imperfections.

It’s time for people to stop holding others to impossible standards. It’s time for people to stop thinking or expecting others to live up to impossible standards.

Should they be honest, truthful, authentic, and have a strong sense of integrity? Yes.

Will they be perfect all the time? No.

  1.  The best healers, coaches, and therapists have their own healers, coaches, and therapists to help keep them sane.

That’s not being a failure.

That’s someone who is being authentic.

2.  It’s someone who believes in the work she does.

3.  It’s a person who lives what she teaches.

4.  It’s the person who understands the value of support and rather than see it as a weakness, she knows it’s a strength. It’s a strength because it helps to make her better at her job and a better human being overall.

Don’t look for a healer, coach or therapist who looks like they have a perfect life.

Look for one who is real. And remember, she won’t always be perfect and neither will you.
